Dansko A Top Place To Work - Second Year In A Row!
West Grove, PA: Dansko is a winner when it comes to the Philadelphia region’s Top Places To Work. This is the second year running that the footwear leader has participated in the regional search, and the second time they have appeared on the list. Announced earlier this month by The Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com, this honor was awarded by WorkPlaceDynamics, a leader in employee surveys and who partners with publishers across the United States to publish regional Top Workplaces. In total, Workplace Dynamics was in contact with 1,614 employers throughout the Philadelphia area.
“To be chosen for the second year in a row is a great honor, especially as this award is based on positive feedback from our employees,” says Dansko Employee Relations Manager, Marc Vettori. “Our participation in workplace surveys was born from a desire to stay in tune with our employees, better our business practices, and ensure Dansko continues to be a great place to work.”
When asked about the secret to the company’s success, Vettori replied, “We don’t have a special formula - we just try to create an environment that’s open and supportive. We encourage people to find their passion and use that passion to improve our business as well as our community.”
Results showed positive feedback from across all areas of the company. Employees reported they enjoy a healthy work/life balance; strong leadership and an overall sense of family. As one employee put it: “Flexible hours. Enjoyable coworkers. A company I can be proud of.”
“We strive to always maintain an environment of open communication and feedback, but find that providing a formal way to capture constructive feedback is also really important. It helps us to benchmark our performance not only against other area companies but also against our own prior performance year on year,” says Dansko co-founder and CEO Mandy Cabot. “We are thrilled to be recognized as one of the top places to work in our community. But there’s always room for improvement, so we will continue to look for new ways to grow and improve with our team as we move forward”.
