Two-thirds of the Dansko Headquarters roof is covered by plants! Known as a vegetative roof, these shrubs and grasses help insulate the building and lower heating and cooling costs. Vegetative roofs also absorb up to 60-80% of rainwater minimizing run-off and soil erosion around the building.
